Gitterbox mesh baskets

The first container manufactured by Strumet was the UIC mesh pallet (German: Gitterbox), compliant with UIC 435-3 and DIN 15155 standards. This versatile, durable, and lightweight container boasts a high load-bearing capacity. It is widely used across various industries, also due to its interchangeability. The container is still part of our product range. Despite its versatility, it wasn't always optimal for all customers, so many derivatives were created based on it, featuring reduced heights, floors and walls lined with sheet metal or finer mesh, and foldable versions that save on transporting empty containers.

Gitterbox?

Strumet is happy to design any mesh container, whether rigid or foldable. Container dimensions are customizable. We will adapt the structure to the required load capacity, ensuring the container is durable yet lightweight. We primarily use welded mesh with a mesh size of 50 x 50 mm, but we can also use woven mesh with any mesh size, from 15 mm upwards. Containers can be powder coated, hot dip galvanized or electroplated.

The primary advantage of steel containers, including gitterbox mesh baskets, is their stackability. This allows for efficient use of warehouse and transport space.
