The natural environment is the most important issue for all of us. We are aware of the fact that we have to benefit from the environment in order to ensure a safe future for next generations.

Our products are varnished exclusively with the use of the powder method which is safe for the environment. That is why the Plant does not emit any volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We have made every endeavour in order for our galvanising line to be safe for the environment. The Strumet galvanising line is equipped with state-of-the art environmentally friendly machines. All galvanising kettles have been equipped with a protective system against leakage of chemicals to the surroundings in case of a kettle leakage. It has been equipped with a system of pumps and buffer containers, which will prevent even a simultaneous leak from several kettles. Kettles suction units are connected to an absorber preventing leakage of acid fumes into the atmosphere. During the expansion, at the end of 2016, we commissioned a new secure chamber with kettles for pickling. The galvanising line is sewage-free, which means that the process solutions work in a closed circuit.

The zinc coating furnace, in which the most important element is a kettle with liquid zinc, has  a secure cover. Therefore, fumes and smoke produced during the dipping process in the liquid zinc do not escape directly into the atmosphere. The highly efficient ventilation system amounting to 50.000 m3/h is equipped with a filtration system thanks to which the air escaping to the atmosphere is thoroughly cleaned, and the recovered dust is recycled.

The emission of pollutants is monitored on a continual basis.
